The new update of The Witcher 3 is here with lots of fantastic content and new quests to play. One of these side quests is known as The Eternal Fire’s Shadow and if you have been finding it troubling to complete the quest then we are here to help you out with it.
The Eternal Fire’s Shadow In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
To start the quest in The Witcher 3, players would first need Geralt to speak to the Eternal Fire Priest. You can find him on the northeastern island of Velen. He can be found outside the Devil’s Pit which is located in the abandoned mine. Geralt will then be tasked to kill any creature he finds in his way that aims to haunt the mine.
The priest on the Devil’s Pit will give Geralt the keys to the mine. As the players make their way to the entrance of the mine, they will find a body on the ground and will then come across some bandits of level 9. After defeating these bandits, you can then move across the mine without any fear.
Afterward, you will need to find some extra information that includes the letter written by Reinald. Meanwhile, you will have to use the lantern to see through the mine because the lightning will be too poor. You will find a ruined brick which will let you know about what is haunting the mine. As you continue going through the mine’s path, Geralt will come to know more about the corpse that was found at the start of the entrance.
Soon after that, you will encounter another corpse within the walls of the opposite brick wall and will get Forgotten Priest’s Testament as they go deeper into the mine. A voice will warn gamers to turn around as they proceed. Therefore players at this moment must meditate and follow the mine’s next challenge, which will be a pit.
You will then enter the small door that will give information about the Boss of the mine. And at this moment it is advised that you can ignore the plague victims.
Free Reinald From The Prison In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
The double doors, that you found earlier will show you Reinald’s prison. You can free him by using the Aard. Players can choose whether to give Reinald’s Philter to the possessed or not. Recall that one Dwarven Spirit, four Celandine, and one Reinald’s Content are used to make the potion Reinald’s Philter. There you will have to fight the possessed Reinald by using sword and sign attacks.
Reinald will be defeated in this way, however, players will have to avoid his attacks of Reinald when his red bubble sword is activated. After defeating him, you will enter to the next phase of the fight where you are supposed to use heavy attacks. After defeating the Red Miasmal, your Eternal Fir’s Shadow side quest will be completed.
