House Of Ashes is the newest of the third games in the Dark Picture Anthology series. It is a chilling horror drama video game most engrossing and stimulating for players. This game is all about the actions of characters and their immediate consequences. One wrong move and they’ll have to bear the full brunt of their missteps. It was released on October 22, 2021.
How To Unlock The Best Ending In House of Ashes
As fascinating as it may sound, it is not an easy mission. It requires blood and sweat to achieve the best ending.
All the characters will get trapped in Mesopotamian (Akkadian temple) where slain dead bodies are buried and they all will get reanimated as vampires to attack from all directions.
This whole scene is in the midst of the 2003 Iraq war where these characters will face evil unearthly monsters (bat-like creatures). In this deadly situation, they all will struggle to escape the horrifying threat coming their way.
MAIN CHALLENGE:
To Stay Alive Throughout the story. Your task is to rescue your fellow comrades especially the five most important characters;
Five major military units (trained experts)
- Eric
- Salim
- Jason
- Nick
- Rachel
These are the core characters of the play that should get a victory and survival till the very end, or else you’ll never get the desired ending.
All of these characters have the choice to either work as a team, rise above their personal rivalries, and act as mature, responsible caring adults by respecting their fellow comrades and sacrificing and risking their lives for each other or either create a volatile relationship and doom their own fate by creating friction and hatred towards each other. In all cases, this game is all about choices and consequences, so it leaves no room for mistakes.
YOUR POTENTIAL ENEMY:
To navigate through the story you’ll face up against Monstrous Adult Cocoons and vampires that are swarming around the temple and mounds of cocoons inside the temple are hatching in clusters into fully adult ones in no time, ready to strike and make chaos. In times of solar eclipse their strength is at its full potential, so better watch out but in the presence of solar energy, they get burnt to ashes and disappear.
Quick-Time-Events, or QTEs: QTEs will determine your results. It can lead to the failure of the characters in case you mistime the action or do not perform any action at all. These QTEs can break your flow until you learn to master them.

PLOT OVERVIEW:
Beginning:
The whole team is finding a way to get chemical weapons from inside the temple, Jason wants to bring air support but Marwin is not in the idea to use it because the enemy can spot them. Eric will eventually bring air support which will come in handy at the final scene and will be used against creatures.
Innocent farmer: Don’t kill the farmer during your raid on the facility, just let him go. Due to this action, Salim won’t aim and shoot Joson and later in the story, Jason will choose to help Salim, this all will consolidate their friendship.
Help Merwin (Technician ): A wire that holds him hostage should be cut off from him. Nick and Jason should medicate him and leave Clarice behind as she is abducted by creatures. Merwin is a technician he will fine-tune the radio for the team later in the story so tag him along with you and don’t let him die.
Eric and Rachel: When Rachel falls down and hangs by a rope Eric will have the choice to hold to it or cut it. It is preferable to cut it and save his life while Rachel will survive the fall in the story. Eric will then perform an autopsy to test the weakness of the creature, turns out they are sensitive to ultraviolet rays.
Joey’s discarded medical kit: Eric and Nick should go and help joey out when they hear him cry for help. They will find a blood puddle in a large chamber and to the other side of it are two ways one leading towards the dark region and one towards the light, follow the dark path and you’ll find joey’s medical kit. Salim will be medically assisted and then he will then enter the vault. He will rescue nick in the next scene.
Don’t lose the assault: it’s very crucial to win against all the odds especially when you’ve made it this far
Eric will survive because Clarice is left behind while Eric is helped by Rachel and therefore Eric will live on. Salim helped Rachel from a monster even when he was attacked by one.
Ending: in the end, you’ll have to tackle your own QTE.
Make sure you don’t die when you have come this close to victory.
