In the World of Outriders, Crafting is important for players to survive, different substances, such as shards, are needed depending on the type of craft. Shards are used to improve the attributes of a weapon or armor piece in particular. Out of the 12 attributes currently available in-game, each piece of equipment that players find will have three attributes.
Unlike the other crafting tools, players can only get shards by removing other pieces of equipment. The catch is that the dismantled piece must have the boosted attribute that players are attempting to obtain on a different piece of gear. This can make getting the correct amount of shards for a particular attribute a huge pain.
How to Get Shards in Outriders
Anomaly Power, Armor Piercing, Bonus Firepower, Close Range Damage. Cooldown Reduction, Critical Damage. Healing Received, Max Health, Skill Life Leech, Status Power, Weapon Life Leech are the 12 attributes that can currently be upgraded. Since each item can only have three attributes to upgrade, players must choose carefully what will best fit them according to their play style. In any given item with attributes, each of these attributes can be upgraded up to six times. However, players will have to invest a good chunk of shards of that particular attribute for each upgrade.
Finding shards in the first place is the most difficult part of the process. While all gears should have three attributes, not all of them can provide those types of shards to the player. Players should concentrate on dismantling better gear, such as blues and purples. If the equipment has them, it will also give players other crafting materials and mods, so it’s better to dismantle higher-level items.
Another thing to keep in mind when deciding which weapons and armor to dismantle is whether or not they have any shards. Look at the specifics of the weapon or armor, where damage and mods are shown, to check this. A list of three attributes should be added to the piece of equipment. The Raise Attributes symbol should be on one of them. This is the of Shards a player can get after removing the specific piece of equipment.
