Outriders Status Effects and Status Immunity Explained

GIStaffBy GIStaffApril 9, 2021No Comments2 Mins Read

In this portion of the Outriders guide, you will get to know a little more about the status effects. This will allow you to determine what effect is the most useful and what effect can be used against stronger opponents.

All Outriders Status Effects Explained

Outriders has up to eight different status effects: Ash, Bleed, Burn, Vulnerable, Freeze, Toxic, Weakness, and Slow. Ash and Burn are Crowd control effects – you can use them to stop enemies and their attacks for 2.5 and 3.5 seconds, respectively. If you will fire such statuses constantly at your opponents the effect will diminish. They can induce status resistance in more difficult opponents.

Effects like bleed, burn, and poison deal damage over time. The burn effect is the most powerful, which deals damage equal to 3.7 % of your skill power. The bleed effect can deal 2.5 % damage whereas the poison effect can deal 3.5 % damage. Damage-over-time effects last 6 seconds, and the same effect does not stack.

Vulnerability to injury and weakness affects the number of damage enemies take and deal with. For 10 seconds, vulnerability increases damage taken by 25%, while weakness decreases damage taken by 30%. Attack and Movement speed are reduced from 30% to 75% by slow effect depending on how resistant your opponent is to this status.

Crowd control effects, arson, and vulnerability to injury are the best effects that you can use on your enemies. Generally, all the effects are useful; try out various weapons and effects to see which one better fits your play style.

Status Immunity Explained

The status Immunity skill is used by elite opponents. The means that you won’t be able to interrupt their attacks until they are immune. The opponent becomes immune to all statuses, including crowd control statuses (ash and freeze).

While fighting with your enemies, you will see a symbol above them, if you will keep shooting at them constantly the symbol will start to turn to blue, which indicates that they are slowly building up status resistance. A blue aura will surround them once they have built up a resistance. No effects will then work on your opponents in this state. The effect will be gone after a short time, and you will be able to harm them again.
