In this article, we have assembled everything players need to know about starting a biome in Nightingale.
In the Nightingale, players will have an equal opportunity to select their preferred starting Biome. Once they complete the tutorial, Puck will inquire about their preferred choice from three options: a desert, a forest, or a swamp biome. To assist with the selection process, we have compiled a list of the characteristics of each biome to simplify the decision-making process for the players.
Which Starting Biome To Choose In Nightingale:
Choosing the Forest as your starting Realm in Nightingale is highly recommended. Although all three biomes are doable, the Forest is the best option. Here’s why.
The Forest Biome:
If you’re wondering which Realm to select as your starting point, I highly recommend the Forest biome. This Realm is teeming with life and is home to an abundance of trees that you can chop down for wood, as well as rocks that you can mine to gather resources.
One of the best things about the Forest is that it doesn’t have any harsh environmental debuffs that can impede your progress, except for rainfall which can make you Wet. However, you don’t have to worry about that too much since you can easily seek shelter under the trees or find cover within the tree line.
The Desert Biome:
The Desert biome was the worst start for me due to limited resources, including trees for wood and rocks for stone. The heat also requires constant movement to combat the debuff.
The Swamp Biome:
The Swamp biome has more resources but is disease-ridden and gives you a debuff in water. It’s the second-best choice, but not worth it since rewards in all starter biomes are the same.
That’s all we have for these three biomes which players can choose as their starting biome.
