Royal Monsters offer a unique challenge in the world of Monster Hunter Stories 2. There are different types of Royal Monster that can be found in the game. While this is an optional side content, it can be fun to complete. You can find the monsters sleeping on the world map so even if you stand next to them, you won’t get attacked. All Monster Hunter Stories 2 Royal Monsters
There are not many Royal Monsters in the game You can find six of them during the main story. These are found in Alcala, Loloska, and Lamure.
If you are feeling powerless earlier in the game, it is a good idea to start the hunt for Royal Monsters. They can help you beat some of the tougher foes. Here are locations of the royal monsters. While five of them are unique, one is a repeating monster that has a different variant to fight in the game.
- Tigrex – Location: Alcala
You can find this through multiple locations in Alcala. To get him early, If you wish to try to recruit him early, the Harzgai Hill – Inner Catavan Outpost is a good option. You will be able to fight him here on the route to the right of the Basarios rocks
- Monoblos – Location: Alcala
Just like Tigrex, Monoblos can be found close to the Harzgai Hill – Inner Catavan Outpost. Once there, you need to head west while following the path and then wind down south and go back north.
- Gammoth – Location: Loloska
This won’t be easy to miss since this is the first Royal Monster you can encounter in the Loloska region. You can easily see it overlooking the Woodland Catavan Outpost.
- Zinogre – Location: Loloska
Once you are heading down the mountain from the Lavina Glacial Peaks Catavan Outpost, you will be able to encounter it sleeping in the snow.
- Brute Tigrex – Location:Lamure
You can locate it closer to the Catavan Outpost in the Sadona Barrens.
- White Monoblos – Location: Lamure
Just follow the main story until you reach the Lamure Pit. This Royal Monster can be found on the path that is leading north from the Jalma Highlands Catavan Outpost.
You can also force a Royal Monster to flee to its den. You can find out a strong Monstie to get earlier this way. As we mentioned in our Ajanath Glitch guide, you can use a Paintball to pelt it three times. You have a certain chance to force the Royal Monster to retreat back to their den. Once they go back, you can find and collect an egg featuring a Monstie.
