Details of Playable Characters
Link’s Weapons and Moves
Link is introduced as Zelda’s appointed knight in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. He typically wears a full suit of knight armor or fights without it. Link’s default weapons are a sword and shield. He has various attacks, including quick sword slashes and a spin attack. His special move, the Spin Dash, deals significant damage to multiple enemies. For ranged attacks, Link uses his bow and can also wield two-handed weapons like claymores, spears, and boomerangs.
Impa’s Weapons and Moves
Impa appears as a young woman in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, contrasting with her appearance as an old woman in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. She wields a dagger and a kunai, dealing damage to enemies. Impa can clone herself by absorbing symbols from her foes and escape quickly by tossing her kunai as a projectile that causes an explosion, allowing her to glide away. Her special move involves tossing an explosive barrel at enemies for massive damage. She also has access to the Sheikah Slate and its runes.
Zelda’s Weapons and Moves
Zelda joins the fight in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity by leaving behind her royal attire. Her moveset centers around the Sheikah Slate, which acts as an extension of her abilities. She can deal damage and control groups of enemies using all four runes. For example, she generates ice blocks and swings large blocks. Her special move involves using the Sheikah Slate to take a picture of enemies before attacking them.
Mipha’s Weapons and Moves
Mipha, the Zora champion, is a powerful character who wields a trident. She moves swiftly through water and can summon a large water orb to trap enemies while attacking them. Her attacks are water-based; she can create blue orbs that come towards her or summon a mini cyclone. Mipha’s special move allows her to hold enemies in place with water and then strike them down.
Daruk’s Weapons and Moves
Daruk is the cheerful Goron champion. He attacks enemies with a giant stone smasher, combining fire attacks, spin attacks, and powerful swings. Daruk can roll around the map quickly and sends enemies flying with multi-swing attacks followed by a powerful Goron punch.
Revali’s Weapons and Moves
Revali is a confident champion in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. He uses a bow and arrow to attack from above and can control the battlefield by flying over enemies. Although he can fight on the ground, his movement is slower. One of his abilities creates gusts of wind that push enemies from three angles. His special move generates a whirlwind that traps enemies before he fires a bomb arrow at the center, causing massive damage.
Urbosa’s Weapons and Moves
Urbosa, the Gerudo champion, shares a close bond with Zelda and is a fast, hard-hitting fighter. She uses lightning powers in her attacks, dancing around her enemies as she strikes. Urbosa can unleash powerful lightning attacks that cause area-of-effect damage. She combines style with strength, making her one of the most exciting characters in the game.
