How To Get Animal Meat And Leather In Nightingale:
Getting your hands on Animal Meat and its leather can be a tough call for the majority of the players, as they need to defeat a wild creature with a hunting knife.
To obtain these elements, you need to know how to craft and use hunting knives effectively. The Makeshift Hunting Knife is the default knife that you get access to. It can also be crafted by collecting 3 rocks, 3 sticks, and 6 plant fibers.
However, as you progress in the game and encounter tougher enemies, you will need to craft the Simple Hunting Knife. To craft it:
- You must first build a Simple Workbench
- Once you have the workbench, you can craft the Simple Hunting Knife using 1 stone block, 1 wood bundle, and 2 straps.
When hunting animals, it’s important to use the right tool to get the most out of your kill. Once you defeat an animal, make sure to equip your Hunting Knife and switch to it. Stab the carcass a few times to ensure that your character skins the animal and that various materials drop.
These materials include:
- Animal Meat
- Bones
- Hides
Additionally, creatures might drop Essence currency.
It’s worth noting that the drops you get from animals are often categorized based on the type of creature you defeat. For example, you might get different types of Animal Meat from prey and predators. There are also some unique or fabled creatures in the game, and defeating them will result in unique drops. So, always remember to use the right tool for the job to get the most out of your hunting experience.
