The heist is one of the early prologue mission. In this mission, V and Jackie will be breaking into a hotel to steal a mysterious chip. If you don’t realize that this is a prologue you might spend several hours exploring and hanging out in Night City.
The job will mostly go smoothly, but Jackie takes a bullet while trying to help you to fight your way to freedom. You will reach the car eventually and you start the mission and then both of you get away, but Jackie dies in the car.
