In previous games of the COD series, it was a little easy, since unlocking the desired Camo was available for all of the unlocked weapons, however, this time, they have made it more challenging by making it necessary to unlock all the Camos that you wish to use.
How To Unlock Base Camos In Modern Warfare 2:
Other than all those 186 standard camos, there is another category known as the Base Camos which players can unlock and get into exciting combats. Every primary weapon in Modern Warfare 2 which can be customized through the Gunsmith system has four base camos that need to be unlocked after completing four challenges of them. However, as far as the Mastery Camos are considered, players must complete certain weapon-specific objectives.
This is how you can complete the challenges and unlock Camos for the M4 Assault weapon:
- First camo challenge – Get 50 kills with the M4
- Second camo challenge – Get 50 kills while ADS in Modern Warfare 2 with the M4
- Third camo challenge -Get 10 double kills with the M4
- Fourth camo challenge – Get 15 kills from behind with the M4
Moreover, after you have completed all the Base Camos challenges, at the end you will unlock Gold Camo Challenges, to begin with.
How To Unlock Mastery Camos In Modern Warfare 2:
For the Mastery Camos, there are four tiers available in Warfare 2, and that includes:
- Gold
- Platinum
- Polyatomic
- Orion
Gold Camo will be unlocked after completing all the base camo challenges. For the Platinum Camo, players will need to complete all the Mastery Camo challenges. In regards to that players will need to have Gold Camos for eight Assault rifles and start playing the Platinum Camo challenges. Every challenge will be different when it comes to unlocking the weapons.
There are 51 guns available in the game for Platinum Camos at the launch time. However, the challenge for every other gun will be different for Platinum Camos, for instance, M4 will be different from the MCPR-300.
