According to Epic Games, this is an update that addresses stability and removes the Auto-download High-Resolution Textures option from the game. This was leading to crashes so it has been removed. You can read the patch notes below, or see them from the official source which is a tweet.

We are deploying a maintenance on PC, PlayStation and Android to address stability and remove the Auto download High Resolution Textures” option which was causing crashes. A patch will be available the next time you start your game, there will not be server downtime.
