Hidden Room puzzle is a part of The Medium. In this guide, we will tell you how to solve this puzzle and make progress.
Many of you have been struggling through this phase of the game. It does require you to push a little stronger to solve this clock puzzle and here you will learn how to do it in a better way.
The game is never easy to understand and you have to use your brains while solving The Medium’s puzzles. As in the first puzzle, finding the tie clip wasn’t easy, since you couldn’t figure about it at first but using insights helped you and then in the door code, smart playing took you to Its 4 digit code solution. Similarly, play tactically in this one too.
How To Search The Hidden Room In The Medium
You can start the mission by investigating Thomas’ office. This takes place right after you meet Sadness. You have to find the clock key. So follow the steps to sort out the way.
- Enter inside the room.
- Go behind the desk, placed in the center of the room.
- Look around the workplace and then see on the floor.
- Here you will find a flashlight and a small key lying on the floor.
- Grab the key, and go to the tall grandfather clock.
- Check the left side of the clock, insert the key there and have some mysterious powers of the clock.
Now to find where the Hidden room is, press the X button of your controller and let the screen of your gameplay be split away into two. Now you have to play split-screen. One will be showing the clock face to the left and the other you can have an office sight of the spirit world. It’s ten o’clock. You can change the time by moving the left joystick backward and you can see that time in the spirit world is changing too. Every time you change the time, you will have a completely different form. The following table will show you the form of spectral Thomas at different times.

To continue the game, Marianne can move the clock’s hands which will change the position of the room in the spirit world. Let the character move the clock’s hands to 4:00 letting the spirit appear. You have to absorb this energy. To let the door of the secret room is opened, move the clock hands to 5:00 and a strange man will do the job. The door is opened now, but the spirit of Marianne can enter. So you have to encounter an out-of-body experience. Make sure you do not consume more time else you might lose the body.
As soon as you enter the room, you will see a power box on the wall. Go to that box and hold RT/R2 to charge a spirit box. Then release it to power up the box. Head towards the material world and let Marianne investigate the cupboard to find a photo of the first Secretary. As you used the power to know about the tie clip, similarly use your intuition to figure out the hidden switch behind the photo and open the door.
