The more enjoyable it is to blast enemies from one location to another, the more exhausting it is to walk to that location. The Ascent provides two methods for fast travel to make you less tired when searching for objectives.
How To Unlock Fast Travel In The Ascent
First Method:
Open your map and look for that red icon- this locates the train station. Go there and catch your train as soon as it arrives. You’ll be dropped at your selected location without any delay. And guess what, It’s free!!
Second Method:
After going a little further in the game you can unlock the feature to summon a taxi. Press left on the d-pad and it will open a fast travel menu. This will help you reach all the desired places. But it comes with a cost, 1000 credits per taxi ride. This feature will be unavailable in certain areas such as when you are underground.
Finally, if you use the train or taxi option, be sure to glance at the map to get an idea of your position. The Ascent does not do a good job if you do fast travel in the middle of an objective. Always keep an eye out for the mission marker and be aware of where to move quickly.
