Numskull Games has announced that Lumo 2, the long-awaited sequel to 2016’s indie hit Lumo, will release on October 17, 2025, for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Developed by Triple Eh?, the game serves as a modern tribute to the isometric puzzle platformers that defined British gaming in the 1980s and 1990s.
Players will navigate more than 100 interconnected rooms designed as shifting puzzle boxes filled with traps, secrets, and collectibles. True to its retro inspiration, the game features a variety of hidden challenges, including 25 vintage cassette tapes and 20 collectible ducks that reward exploration and persistence. Beyond the classic puzzle-platforming structure, Lumo 2 introduces evolving gameplay with portals, mini-games, and genre-bending surprises that expand on its predecessor’s design.
In keeping with the nostalgic theme, Lumo 2 will launch digitally across all platforms at £19.99 / €22.99 / $25.99. Numskull Games is also preparing physical editions for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 in select European regions. A special Collector’s Edition will be available, including a retro-themed box, cassette soundtrack, and other vintage-inspired items for £49.99 / €59.99, while the standard boxed release will retail at £34.99 / €39.99.
Lumo 2 aims to capture the charm of the original while offering refined mechanics and a polished presentation, positioning it as both a nostalgic callback and a contemporary puzzle platformer.
