Stellar Blade Has Gone Gold, Developer Is Confident It Will Deliver An Experience Players Will Enjoy

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Shift Up’s action adventure game, Stellar Blade, has officially gone gold, and the developer is confident it will deliver an experience that players will enjoy.

Speaking during an interview with the PlayStation Blog, Stellar Blade director Kim Hyung Tae shared that the game has gone gold after 5 years of development. He mentioned that there are few action adventure titles for consoles that were made in Korea. He added that the development team has made several efforts to make it enjoyable to play, and has prepared attractive characters and worldviews.

Kim is confident that him and his team at Shift Up can deliver an experience that players will enjoy. In his message to PS5 owners, he said that he hopes players will give the demo a try and pick up the game upon release. The game’s technical director, Lee Dong Gi, added that the developer has put its best efforts into making the game. He mentioned that the retail version of Stellar Blade includes various elements beyond what the demo offers, and he hoped that players will look forward to them.

In response to a question regarding the concept and design behind the protagonist, Eve, Kim mentioned that Eve is a member of an airborne unit descending from space to Earth. She possesses very high combat abilities, but due to the cultural disconnect between space and Earth, he paid attention to making her feel alien when she’s on Earth. The Earth’s environment is desolate with a dry atmosphere, so he wanted Eve to have a glossy, radiant, and moist appearance.

Thea aforementioned playable demo for Stellar Blade was made available last month on the PlayStation Store. It was revealed via the demo that the included NSFW skin suit will make the game more challenging for players. Read about it here.
