Rockstar Games has released a new security-related patch for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC today, February 7th, 2023. The patch is expected to have a size of around 2 to 4 GB, though the actual changes to the game are only about 5-6 MBs. However, due to the lack of delta patching, any changes to the game, even small ones, require downloading the entire file again.
The patch notes simply state that the update is for “General Maintenance.” While no further details have been provided, fans of the game can expect improved security measures and bug fixes with this update.
The Red Dead Redemption 2 update on September 6, 2022 brought new content and features to Red Dead Online, along with general updates, bug fixes, and stability fixes. Players can now access Telegrams from the player menu and the camp, and there are three new Hardcore Co-op Telegrams available. A link to the credits has been added to the Pause Menu. The game’s stability has been improved with the fixing of several crash issues, and matchmaking and networking issues have also been fixed. The update also fixed several content-related issues, as well as shop and miscellaneous issues. PC-specific fixes have also been implemented.
