‘The Last Bastion’ Event Brings Survival Pve To The Free-to-play Dragon Shooter ‘Century: Age Of Ashes’

Independent Game Developer Playwing, are delighted to announce that following a successful launch across PC and home consoles, their free-to-play dragon shooter “Century: Age Of Ashes” will be exposing new and current players alike to its first-ever PvE event, named ‘The Last Bastion’. Answer the call of the dragons and set fire to the battlefield!

The major piece of content provided as part of this free event will be the ‘Outbreak’ PvE game mode, in which players must band together and defend their base against an attack by horrifying foes formed from their nightmares: the Dwellers. These opponents are unyielding and will continue to test players’ abilities and teamwork with each successive wave. With each successful assault, Dragoneers will need to prepare due to a brand-new Upgrade System, which provides boosts and improvements to their skills as well as the fortress they defend. This new dynamic comes as one of the exciting ‘roguelike’ components offered for the very first time in “Century: Age Of Ashes”.

Along with it, the AI-controlled swarm of Dwellers will change in strength, attack kinds, speeds, and other factors, so Dragoneers must have their wits about them if they are to survive this conflict.

Followers of the rich dark fantasy mythology will have encountered these Dwellers before and will be aware of the growing threat they pose to the Valkürian Sanctuary. Indeed, the ‘Outbreak’ PvE game mode culminates the war of ‘Season 1: A Shadow Over Skeld’ against the troops of the Parasite Queen – a conflict that players will be reminded of as they gaze over the massive monster releasing waves of Dwellers on the terrain of Hel’s Breach.

To summarise, from December 15th, 2022 to January 18th, 2023, gamers can participate in ‘The Last Bastion,’ a time-limited event. Completing sets of objectives in the PvE game mode will award players their own customisations as well as four unique dragons (one for each rider class) as bonus prizes for the high achievers. The event will also give incentives based on PvP leaderboards to please those yearning for competitive play.

Century: Age Of Ashes will also include a long-awaited upgrade to the Ranked PvP queueing system, a new in-game UI that resonates to dark fantasy aficionados, and Quality of Life changes that will give dragoneers even more to chew on. The shop will also be restocked with limited-time products, such as the renowned Ensemble of the Winterborn and the return of joyful dragons.
